 Fall Nut & Magazine Sale

Fall Nut/Candy & Magazine Product Program

Every fall, registered Girl Scouts take orders from friends and family for delicious nuts/candies and magazine subscriptions as part of the Fall Product Sale. By participating in this program, troops can get a head start on funding their activities for the year.  In addition, the program offers girls the opportunity to learn and practice valuable life skills such as money management, goal setting, decision-making, business ethics and people skills. Participating in the Fall Nut/Candy & Magazine Product Program is a voluntary based program, and participation is a troop decision.

The Fall Product Program enables girls to:

  • DISCOVER more about themselves and their values
  • CONNECT with others in cooperative learning
  • TAKE ACTION   to make a difference in their communities

To learn more about the fall Nuts/Candy & Magazine Program, contact our Product Sales Specialist at (775) 322 - 0642, ext. 1241 or cookies@gssn.org.

For parents and volunteers

My girl’s troop is participating in the magazine portion of the program

If you are a parent or volunteer, you will be asked to register yourself and your Girl Scout on the QSP Online Program  for magazines.  There is an interactive learning activity your Girl Scout must complete. Once completed, you will be able to enter email addresses for friends and family that you think would like to support your Girl Scout troop and the Council.  Emails can be personalized, and your Girl Scout can earn a patch for entering 12 or more email addresses. The troop also earns proceeds for every magazine subscription order sold online during the sale dates.

Interactive online activities for girls

During the fall program, girls can visit the Ashdon Farms Girl Activity Page for Fall Nut/Candy safety tips, selling tips, goal setting, and games and activities!

What can a girl do? Visit the QSP / Be A Reader ActivityPage for engaging, magazine-related games for girls ages 5-8.

Did you know?

Troops keep $.80 of the proceeds per nut/candy item they sell and 10 percent from the price for each magazine subscription ordered.  The Nut/Candy & Magazine Program is a great way to get a head start on troop fundraising goals.
