GSSN is currently in the process of hiring for our summer camp programs. The GSSN Girl Scout resident camp is located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, near Sierra City, California. Please see below for a list of current job openings and click on the Job Description links for more details.

Title: Resident Camp Assistant Director
Reports To: Resident Camp Director
FLSA Status:  CA camp employee exempt, full-time, temporary
Salary range: $75-$85 per day plus room and board

Description:
Oversees the supervision and administration of all camp programming. Must have experience with youth programming or equivalent experience.  Teaching or child care experience desired.  Organized camp experience preferred.  Ability to use own expertise, talents, skills, and creativity to supplement and enrich camp programming. Must be 21 or older.  Must be available June 16 through August 5, 2013.  Must be available to work up to an additional 15 days for planning, preparation, and camp wrap-up.

Description:
Oversees and performs maintenance on resident camp property (Camp Wasiu II facility) and buildings to provide for the health, safety and security of campers and property users.  Skills in various building trades preferred (electrical, plumbing, construction, painting).  Experience in Camp property maintenance desired.  Must be 21 or older.  Must be available May 28 through August 9, 2013.  May be needed up to an additional 40 days between August 9 and October 15, 2013.

Directs and coordinates a safe aquatic program at a Girl Scout summer resident camp, Camp Wasiu II.  Supervises aquatic staff, campers and other staff while at the pool or waterfront.
