Troop Leadership is the first in-person, volunteer learning workshop for troop leaders, assistant leaders and parent helpers who have completed their application process.

Troop Leadership must be taken by at least one leader or other volunteer before starting to work with girls. Participants learn the basic knowledge needed to get started with their troop including:
In Reno/Sparks, Troop Leadership workshops are held at the GSSN Council Service Center every first Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and third Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. of the month. However, during holidays and special Girl Scout programming and events the trainings may not be available. Please be sure to check the Event & Training calendar and fill out a training registration form before attending.
