6TH ANNUAL - CELEBRATING WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada hosted it's signature event: Celebrating Women in Leadership Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada. The Celebrating Women in Leadership Awards Dinner brought the community together to celebrate the significant contributions made by local women of achievement. Please join us in honoring Barbara Vucanovich, former US Congress Women, Catherine Cortez Masto, State of Nevada Attorney General, and Jan Usher, Golf Pro, three of northern Nevada's most outstanding examples of successful leadership. Highlights from the evening included a special invitational VIP reception before the awards dinner. The mistress of ceremonies was none other than KRNV Channel 4 news anchor Shelby Sheehan. The fabulous evening also included one of the best silent auctions in the Truckee Meadows. Of course, what would a Girl Scout event be without cookies?
