Online Learning Opportunities

Online learning is a great option for those who cannot attend an in-person learning opportunity, or for those who prefer to learn at their own pace. The following learning opportunities are now available online:

GS 101
Learn more about volunteering with Girl Scouts and the basics of the new Girl Scout Leadership Experience before attending a Troop Leadership workshop.

Troop Leadership
Troop Leadership is an in-person or online volunteer learning workshop required for all troop leaders, and highly recommended for other all other volunteers working with girls. To view the online version of the training download the Troop Leadership Participant Booklet and view the webinar now!


Domestic Travel
A Domestic Travel training is required when planning a trip with a group of Girl Scouts. Please complete the following steps to fulfill the self-study requirements:


Outdoor Basics

This Outdoor Basics self-study is required for any volunteer planning to take girls camping as a troop or as part of an encampment.  Also, any group hoping to rent Wasiu II must have an individual in attendance who has completed this training.  This booklet provides important information on how to prepare the girls for experiencing the outdoors according to their readiness level to ensure a positive experience.  Please complete the following steps to fulfill the self-study requirements:

Bronze Award Workshop
The Bronze Award Workshop is now only offered online. It is highly recommended for adult volunteers planning to mentor their Girl Scout Juniors through achieving the Girl Scout Bronze Award. Please plan on approximately 30 minutes to complete this webinar. View the webinar now!


Service Unit Team Training
The Service Unit Team Training is for adult volunteers who hold a Service Unit position. This includes, but is not limited to: manager, treasurer, product sales coordinator, secretary, recruiter, events coordinator, troop coordinator, individual girl coordinator, and anyone interested in holding a Service Unit position. You will learn about the Service Unit team structure, essentials functions, planning, management, inclusion, and outreach. You may view this training with your Service Unit Team, or by yourself.
