AN ATTITUDE OF APPRECIATION
Adult Recognitions in Girl Scouting
We all know of incredible volunteers who
deserve a special thank-you, recognition for exceptional contributions,
or an award for great work. Think about the people who support your
volunteer work, like the individual who helped your service unit with a
wonderful Camporee or the Cookie Chair who has faithfully coordinated
the sale for 5 years and signed up to do it one more year.
In Girl Scouting, we celebrate outstanding volunteerism.
Volunteers are encouraged to nominate other volunteers for recognition
and awards. Please check the categories below to see if someone
you know fits the requirements for a Girl Scout adult recognition.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from
this page, and are also available at the Service Center or from your
service unit manager.
For further information, contact our
Adult Development Specialist at 775.322.0642, ext. 244 or
email her at training@gssn.org.
The Adult Recognitions
Committee meets prior to the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada Adult
Recognition Luncheon and at other times during the
year as necessary to consider nominations for adult recognitions. To be
considered for an award presentation at the Adult Recognition Luncheon, all
nominations and supporting letters must be received at the Service
Center by the last working day in February.
