Why Volunteer

Through September 30, we are looking to add 60 Troop Leaders in 60 Days!

Why should you be a Troop Leader with Girl Scouts?

Mentorship – you have the chance to be a role model and make a difference in the lives of girls. What values are important to you that you want to help instill in today’s girls? What skills do you want them to have as they grow into the leaders of tomorrow? How can you help guide them to take an active part in the betterment of their community?

Quality Time – if your daughter is a Girl Scout, by becoming a Troop Leader, you’ll have the chance to spend quality time together, building memories that will last a lifetime. Don’t look back and wish you had played a more active role in your daughter’s life, be there through every step of her incredible path towards adulthood.

Adventure – one of the most fun aspects of Girl Scouts is the opportunity for adventure. The sky’s the limit for all the incredible journeys you’ll help lead girls through. From their first experience camping to that incredible feeling as they reach the top of a mountain on a hiking trip to the rush they’ll feel as they go white water rafting, there’s no end to the adventure that awaits with Girl Scouts.

Help her unleash her inner leader. Check out ways to volunteer.

Prepare her for a lifetime of leadership, and be the mentor she needs.

As a volunteer, you’ll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they’re capable of more than they ever imagined. They’ll each find their inner go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leader after all!

You’ll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop essential life skills and confidence that will last a lifetime. Imagine the excitement, the impact, the memories made—those are the moments you’ll share at Girl Scouts.

Embark on an extraordinary journey of leadership!
