Geared towards Juniors and Cadettes, this road trip to the coast is
all about exploration and ecology! Girl Scouts will have the
opportunity to camp among the redwoods, go tide pooling, kayak through
ocean caves, hike through 5 beautiful state parks, enjoy the Mendocino
Botanical Garden, taste mushroom ice cream, marvel at glass beach, and
more. Our trip to Mendocino will be packed with environmental
educational as well as team building as Girl Scouts work together to
set up camp and encourage one another to try new things.
We will be camping at state parks during this trip, so Girl Scouts
should be prepared to sleep in tents. You can bring your own tent, or
be provided with one. Although no experience is necessary, Girl Scouts
should also be prepared for some basic hiking and to try kayaking
(with an adult).
