Experience a full-on horse and ranch adventure with L & L Ranch
in Quincy, CA! This residential 5-day, 4-night camp is open to all
Girl Scouts 8 years and older!
Campers will learn horsemanship
skills from knowledgeable Wranglers, ride horses twice a day (on
arrival day one ride) and discover what it is like living on a
ranch.
Activities include horseback trail rides, riding lessons,
and instruction on horse care and how to feed, tack up and wash a
horse. Campers will ride at a variety of levels to build different
riding skills, with some opportunities to try loping for those who are
ready.
Girls also engage in all the other joys of camp -
s'mores, sing-a-longs, activities, archery, campfires, fishing, games
and nature walks.
Fees include lodging, all meals,
equipment, and trained instructors. Adult supervision is provided as
well. If any Girl Scout registered adults with an active background
check want to attend with their Girl Scout, they can as well!
Each Girl Scout attending will receive a fun patch.
Additionally, Juniors will receive their Horseback Riding Badge and
Cadettes will earn their Archery Badge.
GSSN will
provide transportation from the Girl Scout service center to camp on
Monday, June 22nd. We will also provide transportation back to the
GSSN service center on Friday, June 26th
