Margaret (Peggy) Palmer passed away surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Reno, Nevada on February 29, 2024. Peggy was born August 2, 1942, to Charles and Fern (Ramsey) Cantwell in Reno, Nevada. She attended Reno High School and the University Nevada, Reno. Peggy was a native Nevadan and was proud of her Nevada and Northern California heritage dating back to the mid-1800’s.
Peggy loved the outdoors, being active, and going on new adventures, including camping, hiking, skiing, bowling, golfing, dancing, and traveling the world with family and friends.
Peggy was community and service oriented. She was a Troop Leader and Neighborhood Chair for the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada for many years.
Most important to Peggy was her family and the friendships she forged over the years. The words that best describe Peggy are kind, loving, adventurous, creative, and fun. She will be missed.
Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Palmer. She is survived by her sister, Sharon Taylor, daughters Elizabeth (Mark) Conte and Traci Palmer (Roger Smith), her beautiful granddaughter Alexa Conte, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Reno, Nevada.
